South Land Title began operations in 1995 as a fee attorney office.  Patrick F. Doyle was one of the original owners and he continues to run the operation after acquiring it from his partners several years ago.

Patrick DoyleMr. Doyle is a life-long resident of Galveston County.  He received his BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1986.  After a year in the banking industry, he chose to pursue a career in law.  He received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1990.  He has been affiliated with Bettison, Doyle, Apffel & Guarino, P.C. ever since.  He ventured into the title business in 1995.  The Texas City office was the first to open followed by Galveston.  He then followed with an office in the Clear Lake area and then on to Kemah.  A second location in Galveston’s West End opened in 2001 and then League City and Pearland opened shortly thereafter.  The Crystal Beach office was acquired in 2005.  The Fairmont Parkway office opened in the summer of 2010.  The Friendswood office was purchased in February of 2011.  The Park Ten office was acquired in April of 2011.  A fee attorney office in the Galleria area was added in April of 2011, as well. He purchased Brazos County Abstract Company in June of 2011 and a Baytown location was secured in August of 2011. The Galleria location opened in October of 2011.

While opening new title offices and practicing law, he decided to seek public office.  He ran for Justice of the Peace in 1994 and took office on January of 1995.  His numerous years of community service and innovative youth programs while serving as Justice of the Peace (1995 – 2004) proudly earned him the honor of being named One of the Five Outstanding Young Texans by the Texas Jaycees and Citizen of the Year by the Texas City / La Marque Chamber of Commerce (2000).  In 2004, he chose to serve Galveston County in a larger capacity and is currently the Galveston County Commissioner for Precinct 1 (2005 – Present). He was named to the Texas City ISD Foundation for the Future’s Hall of Honor in October of 2011.

Mr. Doyle oversees operations of South Land Title and concentrates his law practice in the area of real estate title insurance and title related matters, real estate document preparation, banking, corporate law, business planning and small business acquisitions.
